About This Video

In this Twin-Tailed Podcast episode, I’m chatting through a recent charity RTT we played at Richmond Reroll in Richmond, BC. The store had been broken into and a local player organized a one-day event where the proceeds (and even paid re-rolls) went back to help the shop, and we ended up with 26 players throwing down three games of Age of Sigmar right after Christmas. We also do a quick hobby corner update—new Ironjawz manifestations and tower hitting the table for the first time, and me building out more Cities projects (including cannons) while staring down my ever-growing painting backlog. On the games side, Jack breaks down his Ironjawz “slow-paced, sit-on-objectives” plan built around the Big Grikk Regiment of Renown, pig tagging with Mighty Destroyers, and how our Tabletop Simulator deployment reps paid off. He takes a rough learning game into Nurgle, then tightens up and lands a big win into Gloomspite with key swings and better positioning. For me, I talk through my Cities of Sigmar Pontifex/Neestra Cavaliers grind list—30-wound cavalry bricks with a 5+ ward bubble—and why it didn’t fire the way I wanted. I got alpha-pinned by Daughters of Khaine (and I absolutely shouldn’t have given them a “launching pad” with my bridge), then ran into Nurgle again and had to lean on anti-deepstrike tools like the Shards of Valagharr while watching an unhealthy number of 5+ wards get made.
