About This Video

Welcome back to Twin Tailed Podcast Ep. 2 — the only AoS podcast where you’re hearing double and it’s not a mic issue. In this episode, my twin brother Jack (aka “Twin Cydia”) and I catch up on hobby progress in our Crafting Corner, and we get pretty deep into the realities of building a playable table setup without spending a fortune. Jack walks through finishing a custom table and a full table’s worth of foam terrain for about $60 CAD, all snow-themed to match his battlemat and bases. On my side, I talk about being swamped with coaching and report cards, but still getting my Cities of Sigmar dwarfs primed and started, plus my experience building a full Rampart terrain box — affordable, but definitely a “cut, clean, glue” commitment. Then we pivot into a battle report rundown from our 2K game on Passing Seasons, where Jack’s Ironjawz got absolutely wrecked by my Cities list. We break down what actually decided the game: deployment mistakes, not measuring key threat ranges, leaving the back objective open to a deep strike, and how my plan leaned hard into objective play and tempo. Jack also talks through testing Big Grikk’s Regiment of Renown (Boltboyz + Beast-skewer Killbow), what it taught him about zoning and positioning, and why he’s still interested in it for monster-heavy tournament environments. We wrap by talking next steps — another 2K game coming up (TTS), list reps, and what we both want to learn going into the next balance update window.
