Picking an army in Age of Sigmar is honestly hard right now—there are so many good options—but if you want the one faction that practices true generosity, it’s Maggotkin of Nurgle. In this video I break down what it actually feels like to play Nurgle after the huge refresh and the brand new battletome: what got better, what’s just “fine,” and what was a little disappointing. Overall though, it’s a really positive ruleset, and it’s a great time to jump in whether you’re new to the faction or coming back. I focus on the big questions people have: mortal vs daemon builds (and why you usually still want some Rotbringers even in daemon lists), how the disease mechanic works as both damage-over-time and a counter to healing/revival, and why the Feculent Gnarlmaw is now a much bigger deal. I also go through the battle formations, highlight the distinct flavors they add (including the really cool Plague Progenitor one that messes with deployment), and then tour the model range—named characters, support heroes, and the standout units like Rot Swords, Blightlords, and the sneaky utility pieces.
