In this video I unbox the General’s Handbook 2025–2026 for Age of Sigmar 4th Edition and then I get real about who should actually spend money on it. I go through what’s in the box: the objective markers, the manifestation cards (with that super important little summoning reference in the corner), the battle tactic cards, the battleplan cards, and the compact seasonal rules handbook. I also talk about my filming setup a bit because I’m testing recording on my phone instead of the webcam—so if it looks better, tell me in the comments. My biggest takeaway is that the value depends entirely on what kind of player you are. For tournament players, I think it’s close to a must-buy: the cards reduce mental load, speed up setup, and help you track your opponent’s tactics and manifestations without constantly asking to see their stuff. For new players, it can be helpful, but it’s not necessary—honestly you don’t need all that info up front, and you’re already investing a ton just to get an army built and on the table. And for casual players, I’m giving you permission to skip it and put that budget into literally anything else; you can borrow info, take photos, or make your own cheat sheets like I did last season.
