About This Video

In this video I break down the Scourge of Ghyran (yeah, I butcher it sometimes) upgrades for Lumineth Realm-lords, and as someone who actually owns 2,000 points of Lumineth, I was genuinely excited to see them get some much-needed help. I start with the three new heroic traits and why they matter in real games: Flawless Commander giving +2" move to infantry wholly within 12" (hello, pseudo field sergeant), Aetherquartz Requisitioner as a once-per-battle +3 to cast for a nearby wizard, and Martial Perfectionist as a conditional but very spicy +1 to wound for infantry ganging up on a damaged target. My personal pick is Flawless Commander because it’s clean, easy, and helps slower pieces like Stoneguard actually get where they need to be. Then I go into the new spell lore, Lore of Prismatic Resonance, which is honestly one of the coolest designs I’ve seen: unlimited spells that scale based on how many times you’ve cast them that round, all on a 6+ cast. Beam of Hysh ramps mortal damage in a really controllable way, Unseen Force can shut off run (and potentially apply -1 to hit if double-tapped), and Beacons of Protection gives a “ignore the first damage in each phase” style aura that grows with repeated casts. Finally, I cover the warscroll updates for Light of Eltharion and the Vanari Bannerblade—both went up in points, but both actually got real, meaningful buffs, especially Eltharion’s once-per-battle “come back” trick and the Bannerblade’s +1 save support on objectives.
