Week after week I watched other creators unbox, build, and paint while I kept getting “it’s delayed” updates—until I finally found out the preorder was cancelled. That left me with a real hobby crossroads: hunt down another box, pivot into a totally different army, or reinvest in what I already own. In this video I walk through that decision and why I ultimately chose to refocus on Lumineth Realm-lords—specifically leaning into the Alarith Temple. I’m building a Spirit of the Mountain, I’ve got a Stonemage and Stoneguard on the way, and I’m excited to explore a more “elite” style without snowballing into a third full army (especially with how tempting it is when an entire range drops at once). I also still grabbed a Hellsmiths battletome from a local player so I can do the lore videos I wanted, even if the original unboxing plan is dead. The big takeaway is simple: this hobby can escalate fast, and sometimes a forced pause is exactly what you need to stay focused, get better at the game, and protect your wallet—while still making the content you’re excited about.
