About This Video

In this video I’m catching up on the Hellsmiths of Hashoot reveal (aka Chaos Dwarves / the Zharrdron) and going through everything we know so far: the army set contents, the battletome + warscroll cards, and the fact that there’s a bigger model wave coming after the launch. I talk through the key kits we’ve seen—like the War Despot, Infernal Cohort build options, the Tormentor Bombard vs the Deathshrieker Rocket Battery, and the Dominator Engine—plus the Demon-smith wizard and the Ashen Elder priest (so we’re looking at both a spell lore and a prayer lore right out of the gate). I also get into my honest first reaction: I was a bit underwhelmed by the official paint scheme, especially the green glow (it read a little too Skaven-y to me), but the community Photoshop color swaps immediately sold me on how good these sculpts actually are. From the teaser rules people have compiled, it’s shaping up to be a slow, tanky, elite army with nasty war machines, demonic “harnessed power” mechanics, and real playstyle flexibility (castle shooting, monster/engine builds, or heavier melee). My personal take: I’m interested, but I’m not pre-ordering until I see the faction rules and how they actually play on the table.
