About This Video

In this Twintail Podcast episode, I wanted to do something a little different for the December 2025 Age of Sigmar balance update. Instead of a super granular faction-by-faction points spreadsheet (because everyone else is already doing that), Jack and I ran an NFL-style snake draft where we each “pick” factions we think will post the best combined win percentage until the next patch. Big disclaimer: I’m not pretending I’m the world’s expert on every army—I read the changes, checked what people are saying, and I’m making educated guesses (and yes, we’re both open to being bribed… for legal reasons that’s a joke). We talk through why certain armies look like safe top-end picks (like Lumineth still being tight but terrifying, Tzeentch keeping the core Zangor engine intact, and Daughters of Khaine not really taking the kind of hit that would slow the best pilots down). We also get into “meta shake-up” picks—like Khorne—where new rules can drive a surge in play and performance, and I explain why changes like the blood-tithe/blood-drenched interaction matter. Along the way we hit key rules context like the obscuring/war machine interaction (shooting gets a little cleaner into war machines), and why that matters for lists like Cities and Skaven. The whole point is simple: what’s going to win games now, and what’s going to get played a lot because the patch made it exciting again?
