While the Lomo'Instant Wide Glass isn't a perfect camera, it's quickly become one of my favorite cameras I've used in recent memory. The glass lens produces incredible results and paired with the fantastic metering system, you're guaranteed to create top tier photos. It took me quite some time to settle on an Instax Wide camera, but I'm so happy I landed on the Lomo'Instant Wide Glass. - My Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michaelbennettphoto/ My Website: https://www.michaelbennettphoto.com My Email: OfficialMichaelBennett@gmail.com - Gear I used in this video: Nikon ZF: https://amzn.to/48z057z DJI Osmo Pocket 3: https://amzn.to/43fdOxe Live AIR 3 Smart PD-BTMP-S: https://amzn.to/4hrUUId Epson V600: https://amzn.to/4kPzXcw Gitzo Tripod: https://amzn.to/4hJEawH Viltrox Monitor: https://amzn.to/3YXfWaR Aputure 120DII: https://amzn.to/4dVrLTt ZHIYUN CINEPEER CX100: https://amzn.to/3Xgr1D1 Zhiyun M20C RGB Light: https://amzn.to/4hpszSY Hollyland Lark M2: https://amzn.to/3WW5K11 Freewell V2 Magnetic VND & Snow Mist 1/4: https://amzn.to/4hRUc7b NiSi JetMag Pro Filter Kit: https://amzn.to/4guToUx - - - - - - - Lomography, Lomo'instant wide glass, Instant wide film camera, fujifilm instax film camera, instax mini, instax square, instax wide film, lomography instax instant film camera

About This Video

In this video I’m shooting and reviewing the Lomo’Instant Wide Glass—an instant film camera from Lomography that takes Fujifilm Instax Wide and, most importantly, has a genuinely sharp glass lens. I’ve had mine for about two months, shot four packs through it, and at this point I honestly think it’s the best Instax Wide camera on the market. When you nail focus, the results are top tier, and the metering system is good enough that I feel like I’m “guaranteed” a usable exposure way more often than I am with most instant cameras. That said, it’s not perfect, and I spend a good chunk of the review talking about the camera’s Achilles heel: the viewfinder and framing. The removable viewfinder has multiple frame lines meant to help with parallax at different focus distances, but I don’t find them clear or accurate, so I still second-guess my composition. I also break down how the scale focusing works across the four focus modes (0.3m, 0.6m, 1–2m, and infinity), why close focus is the trickiest, and what the 90mm f/8 lens means in “35mm equivalent” terms for field of view and depth of field. I wrap it up by going through the feature set—flash on/off, multiple exposure, exposure comp, auto mode, bulb (up to 30 seconds), f/22 mode, and the 1/30 mode that effectively locks settings. And yes, the PC sync port is a huge draw for me—I’m excited to get it on a shoot with strobes.
