In this video I show you all 23 frames that I shot during a short walk I took with the Nikon F back in October. Originally these photos and videos were intended to be used for a larger project, but I ended up scrapping the idea and forgetting about the photos that I took that morning. I recently finished the roll that was inside the Nikon F and when I was scanning the photos I was inspired to make a short video talking about all of the photos. - My Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michaelbennettphoto/ My Website: https://www.michaelbennettphoto.com My Email: OfficialMichaelBennett@gmail.com - Powergrade: https://www.michaelbennettphoto.com/shop/p/davinci-resolve-film-powergrade - Gear I used in this video: Fujifilm X100VI: https://amzn.to/4l9mQmC Panasonic LUMIX S9: https://amzn.to/41F3zlD Live AIR 3 Smart PD-BTMP-S: https://amzn.to/4hrUUId Epson V600: https://amzn.to/4kPzXcw Gitzo Tripod: https://amzn.to/4hJEawH Viltrox Monitor: https://amzn.to/3YXfWaR Aputure 120DII: https://amzn.to/4dVrLTt ZHIYUN CINEPEER CX100: https://amzn.to/3Xgr1D1 Zhiyun M20C RGB Light: https://amzn.to/4hpszSY Hollyland Lark M2: https://amzn.to/3WW5K11 Freewell V2 Magnetic VND & Snow Mist 1/4: https://amzn.to/4hRUc7b NiSi JetMag Pro Filter Kit: https://amzn.to/4guToUx - - - - - Nikon F, Nikon F2 F3 F4 F5 F6, Fujifilm 400, Fujifilm superia 400, Xtra 400, 35mm film photography, shooting film, how to shoot film, film photography, nikon film camera, Kodak film

About This Video

This video is basically me finally giving my Nikon F the attention it deserves. It’s the oldest film camera in my collection—my copy is from 1972—and it was a gift from my grandpa, so it’s one of those cameras that’s never leaving my shelf. Everything you see (besides the talking head) was shot on a short morning walk back in October, and I’m showing all 23 frames from that roll. These photos were originally meant for a bigger Nikon F project, but I scrapped the idea, forgot about the footage, and didn’t even finish the roll until recently. For the walk I shot Fujifilm 400—my go-to 35mm stock for almost two years now—paired with the only F-mount lens I own: the 55mm f/3.5 macro. Since my metered prism doesn’t work (battery door was missing, and the replacement bottom plate didn’t fix it), I metered everything with my handheld Sekonic, which I’ve trusted since I started shooting film. The big takeaway: this 53-year-old camera still runs like a tank, Fujifilm 400 continues to be the best bang for the buck for color and performance, and even a simple walk can turn into a set of images worth talking through—light leaks and all.
