After owning the Fujifilm GFX 100S for the last few months, I can safely say it's one of my favorite cameras I've ever owned and by far the best cameras I've ever used. I have a handful of ideas for videos I'll be making about the GFX 100S, but if you have other suggestions you'd like to see me make, feel free to leave a comment or shoot me a DM on Instagram! - My Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michaelbennettphoto/ My Website: https://www.michaelbennettphoto.com My Email: OfficialMichaelBennett@gmail.com - Gear I used in this video: Fujifilm GFX 100S: https://amzn.to/41Jsxj1 DJI Osmo Pocket 3: https://amzn.to/468zdZm Epson V600: https://amzn.to/4kPzXcw Gitzo Tripod: https://amzn.to/4hJEawH Viltrox Monitor: https://amzn.to/3YXfWaR Aputure 120DII: https://amzn.to/4dVrLTt ZHIYUN CINEPEER CX100: https://amzn.to/3Xgr1D1 Zhiyun M20C RGB Light: https://amzn.to/4hpszSY Hollyland Lark M2: https://amzn.to/3WW5K11 Freewell V2 Magnetic VND & Snow Mist 1/4: https://amzn.to/4hRUc7b NiSi JetMag Pro Filter Kit: https://amzn.to/4guToUx - - - - - - - Fujifilm GFX 100S review, Fujifilm GFX 50S, Fujifilm GFX 50SII, Fujifilm GFX 100SII, Fujifilm GFX 100II, GFX 100S 4K video quality

About This Video

In this video I’m sharing my first impressions after about 5 months with the Fujifilm GFX 100S and a couple thousand photos on it. I’ve owned three GFX bodies over the last ~5–6 years (50S, 50S II, and now the 100S), so I wanted to focus on the stuff that actually matters in real use: the sensor, how it feels to shoot, what it’s like to edit the files, the video quality, and a few “before you buy” realities about the GFX system. The big headline is the sensor and files. This 100MP medium format sensor gives me the best dynamic range I’ve personally used, and the shadow detail is honestly insane. Add 16-bit color, BSI performance in low light, and IBIS (which I rely on heavily), and it’s become one of my favorite cameras I’ve ever owned. The main drawback for me is autofocus: it’s good, but it’s not sticky and can be inconsistent—especially in continuous AF or when subjects move toward/away from the camera. I also talk about workflow: Lightroom absolutely bogs my MacBook Pro down with these huge files, while Capture One feels almost seamless (and I generally prefer it anyway). And finally, I cover video: 4K30 F-Log is solid for occasional clips, but if you need a true hybrid, I’d look at an X-H2S or the GFX 100 II instead.
