About This Video

Today I’m sharing a real-life full day of food for our family—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—while we’re in the middle of our normal homeschool rhythm. My morning was a little crazy (it was after 9:30 before I ate), so I made my go-to: plain Greek yogurt with about half a scoop of whey protein isolate, sliced apple (because we were out of bananas), and my homemade granola. Then we jumped right into our once-a-week piano lesson routine, where the kids work on independent subjects like math, language arts, handwriting, and outside time in between lessons. For lunch, I kept it super simple and used leftovers to clean out the fridge—broccoli, sweet potato, and chicken, plus mashed potatoes, ground beef, carrots, sourdough crackers, cheese, and extra veggies like snap peas and carrot sticks. After sledding with the kids (so many giggles and so worth it), I needed a quick dinner plan. Instead of the more time-consuming cheeseburger soup I had planned, I made an easy skillet-style homemade mac and cheese with ground beef, and served cucumbers and raw veggies on the side. It was cozy, filling, and realistic—exactly the kind of home-cooked day I love sharing with you.
