Hey friends—welcome to my kitchen where we school the kids and I’m always trying to sneak in a little meal prep at the same time. In this vlog, you’ll see what a real homeschool morning looks like for us right now: long division help for Zara, long multiplication with blocks for Wesley (we’re doing Math-U-See / “Matthew C” for this level), and me sitting right there to jump in where needed. I share how math feels more independent at the start of the year, but then it gets “heavy,” and we hit that season where everyone takes turns needing more help. Easter also totally snuck up on us, so I’m doing some last-minute planning—pulling out the little bit of Easter decor I have and putting together our kids’ Easter baskets. We keep our baskets pretty simple and not super “traditional,” because I don’t like wasting money on random trinkets. I aim for a mix of things they want and things they actually need, and I share what we got each of our five kids (plus a small treat).
