About This Video

Today’s vlog is one of those “go go go” days as we head into Easter weekend. It’s Thursday, tomorrow is Good Friday, and we’re going straight from church to my parents’ for a mid-afternoon Easter meal. My mom asked me to bring dessert and dinner rolls, so I started my sourdough cinnamon rolls first thing in the morning (I usually start them the night before, but I knew I wouldn’t have time tomorrow). Later in the day I also needed to make the dinner rolls, plus keep up with laundry and all the regular home stuff. In the middle of all that, we still had to get real school done. We’re close to the end of the school year, and after looking through the kids’ math, I know we need to be doing school every single day if we want to finish math alongside everything else. It was also piano lesson day, which for me is very intensive because I’m fully focused on teaching the whole morning. We squeezed in some read-aloud time too (we finished a Ramona book and started The Mouse and the Motorcycle), and I shared a little peek at early spring life here—snow melting, the skating rink frame coming down, and the kids finally having more yard space to play. By the end of the day, it felt good knowing the prep was getting done so tomorrow could be more restful.
