About This Video

Hey friends! In this video I’m taking you along for a real Saturday afternoon in my kitchen while I batch prep a handful of healthy, easy snacks to get us ready for the week ahead. With five kids, I really try to keep a few things on regular rotation that are truly grab-and-go—because if it’s not easy, it’s just not going to happen consistently in our home. I start by slicing up a big pile of apples (I counted 14 cores!) and putting them into my food dehydrator for about six hours. Then I make one of our absolute staples: sourdough discard crackers. I’m making this recipe at least once a week (sometimes more), and our favorite seasoning is everything bagel. While the crackers are doing their “in and out of the oven” routine, I boil a dozen eggs and portion them into little containers so they’re ready for quick snacks (and Andrew loves taking them to work). To finish, I mix up a big batch of protein balls (oatmeal raisin and double chocolate) and make my simple, dump-and-bake granola that we love with yogurt or as cereal. None of these are hard on their own, but doing them all in one afternoon really sets us up with healthy options all week.
