About This Video

What’s up guys—today I’m back on the 2020-2025 Toyota Highlander with a really practical mod: the Cartrimhome wireless adjustable seat module for the passenger seat. At first I was like, “why would I need to move the passenger seat remotely?” but once we had our son, it instantly made sense. When you’re trying to clip a car seat in the back and the passenger seat is slid too far back, it turns into a whole pain in the butt—walking around, moving the seat, going back, and trying not to leave the baby sitting there while you mess with it. In this video I show the full step-by-step install. The kit piggybacks into the factory harness under the passenger seat, and the hardest part is honestly just popping those super tight seat plastics off without getting impatient. Once it’s plugged in, the remote lets you slide the seat forward/back and tilt the seatback forward/back. I also show how I mounted the switch on the B-pillar so we can stand at the rear door and move the passenger seat while we’re loading the car seat—way quicker, safer, and just less annoying (especially when it’s raining).
