About This Video

In this video I’m back working on the Corolla again, and this one’s a quick, easy upgrade that a lot of Toyota Corolla owners don’t even think about. A couple months back I installed the Dasaita radio (super clean, touchscreen, and honestly it looks factory), and it gives you two USB ports—one for phone link and one for charging. The only problem was those USBs were just running through the dash knockouts, so it looked a little “aftermarket” with wires coming out of an open hole. So I picked up a dual USB 3.0 dash flush mount extension and showed you how I installed it step-by-step. I plug the phone link into USB 1 and the charge port into USB 2, feed the wires through, and with a little persuasion it goes in tight without even pulling trim pieces off. The blue inserts let you know it’s USB 3.0, so you get faster data transfer and it should help with charging speed too. End result: a way cleaner, more factory-looking setup that takes just a few minutes and makes the whole radio install look that much better.
