About This Video

What’s up guys — in this video I’m back on the 2020–2025 Toyota Highlander with a super practical mod: installing the CarTrimHome stainless steel rear inner and outer bumper protectors. If you’re constantly loading groceries, hauling stuff, or you’ve got dogs jumping in and out of the back, you already know how fast that top bumper edge and the inner plastic trim get scratched up. I went with the black set because it blends with my black Highlander, and it’s got that nice brushed look instead of a straight gloss black. They also offer silver stainless and a carbon fiber option if that’s more your style. I walk you through the full step-by-step install using the included 3M tape. The big keys are cleaning the area first, then wiping it down with rubbing alcohol before sticking anything. Since it was cooler outside, I also hit the tape with a heat gun to make it extra tacky. The inner piece tucks down behind the trim for a tighter look, and the outer piece follows the body line so it’s easy to line up. Fitment ended up super clean, and it should protect better than my factory clear protector because it reaches a little farther out. Simple install, anybody can do it, and it’ll help keep your Highlander looking good for the long run.
