What’s up guys — in this video I’m doing a full step-by-step install of the CarTrimHome LED ambient cup holder lights for the 2020–2024 Toyota Highlander. These lights replace the factory-style cup holder trim, so once it’s installed it honestly looks OEM and you can’t even tell it’s aftermarket until you turn the lights on. The big win here is the color match: it lines up perfectly with the blue door handle bowl lights I installed before, so the whole interior lighting theme flows together. I walk you through popping the center console side panels, removing the shifter knob (don’t lose that metal clip), pulling the cup holder assembly, and sandwiching the new light ring in place using the factory alignment tabs (square on one side, circle on the other). The “hardest” part is fishing the wire over to the steering column, because the kit uses a piggyback connection at the factory harness — no splicing, no soldering, none of that cheap and crappy wire-tap stuff. Give yourself about 30–40 minutes, take your time, don’t force clips, and you’ll end up with a super clean, factory-looking ambient glow that makes the Highlander feel way more luxury on night drives.
