About This Video

What’s up, guys? In this video I partnered with CarPod Go to unbox and install the CarpodGo T3 Pro—an 8.9” wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto screen that can modernize basically any car, especially older ones that don’t have a screen. I’m putting it in my Corvette because the factory screen is built into the dash and it goes up and down for storage, so doing a traditional radio upgrade can be a pain and you can even lose that up/down function. This setup lets me keep my factory radio working (so I can still control stuff like my exhaust settings) while adding a clean, extra screen up top for maps, Spotify, calls, and messages. I go through what’s in the box, the mounts, and how I powered it through a 12v outlet and hid the wiring in the center console. Pairing is simple—hit the CarPlay button, connect Bluetooth, and you’re basically looking at your phone on the screen. The big takeaway for me is it solves my “holding my phone up while driving” problem, and it’s hands-free friendly (which matters here in Tennessee). Plus, it’s quick to remove since it’s magnetic, and it even includes a camera if you want to add a backup camera (or get creative like a front camera later).
