About This Video

In this video I’m testing and reviewing ExoForma Black Trim Restorer to see if it’s actually worth it for faded plastic trim. If your cowl, bumper trim, or wheel-arch plastics are turning that ugly gray color (even on newer cars), I show you exactly how I apply it and what kind of results you can expect. I’ve used Mother’s Back to Black a lot, and while it can look good, in my experience it doesn’t last long and it’ll wash off after rain and washes. This ExoForma stuff is dye-infused, so the whole point is it should hold up way longer. To make it a real test, I applied ExoForma to a taped-off section of my Toyota Highlander’s rear bumper and left it for three full weeks—rain, driving, and even another wash. The difference is honestly insane: the treated side stayed deep black and even, while the older “Back to Black” side looked patchy and gray. I also like that it’s non-greasy once it dries—it feels like normal plastic instead of leaving that oily residue on your fingers. I walk through the basic process (clean/dry surface, shade, use the included foam pad, don’t let it puddle), and I’ll be doing a longer-term update because the box claims up to 6 months of durability.
