What’s up, guys—this is part two of my budget detailing setup build series, and in this one I’m mainly talking hoses, reels, and the little connection stuff that makes the whole setup way easier to live with. I start with my FlexZilla pressure washer hose (50ft) because it doesn’t kink as bad as a lot of other options, and honestly the color matching just makes the setup look cleaner. If you want another solid option, I also mention the Uber Flex hose—it’s blue and pretty much the same quality, and it won’t kink either. After that I go over the short FlexZilla garden hose I’m using as a 3-foot connector between my deionizer/spot-free rinse setup and the pressure washer. I also talk about my hose reel situation: the exact reel I’m using isn’t available anymore, but I’ll link a similar one and the original in case it comes back. Mine has a whip line (super convenient), but it’s a hand-crank reel, not auto-retract—so you pull it out, lock it, and crank it back in. Lastly, I cover quick disconnects—these are the small parts people overlook, but they’re what make swapping and routing everything fast, clean, and painless.
