About This Video

What’s up, guys—this is part 1 of my budget detailing setup series, because a ton of y’all have been asking about the pressure washer build I’ve got in the garage. In this video I’m breaking down the main pieces that make the whole setup work: which pressure washer I chose, why I went that direction, and what I changed to make it feel way more usable for weekend washes. My goal here was simple—keep it budget-friendly so most of you can actually build something similar without going crazy on cost. I talk about pressure washer options (yeah, the Active 2.0 is an option), but I went with the best budget pick and it still puts out super thick foam. If you want the setup to feel more professional, I also explain why I recommend swapping the long factory wand for a McKillans stubby gun with a swivel—way easier to move around the car without the hose kinking up. Then I get into the tips: the stock Ryobi-style tips are fine, but if you want the best output, the cheap 2.5 orifice tip set makes a huge difference. Part 2 is hoses, the hose reel, and spotless rinse—then part 3 is how I mounted everything without wrecking the garage walls.
