About This Video

In this video I’m reviewing the NiceHCK StringSnow, a great budget all-rounder IEM that’s basically “wear & forget” goodness. My unit is the Type-C variant with mic, and it’s a single dynamic driver set (10mm PE+LCP diaphragm) that goes for around $22. I walk through the unboxing, the variants (colors, connections, mic options), and the basics like build and comfort—metal + plastic shell, bullet-style fit, and a non-removable cable so you really want to pick the right version upfront. I also mention a small QC thing on my sample: some excess glue on the left side. Sound-wise, I tested it stock (stock tips) with Apple Music and YouTube Music across J-pop, EDM, rap, metal, and jazz. My Type-C StringSnow comes off balanced, safe, slightly warm, and super easy for long sessions—think “Harman, but warmer,” with smooth treble and zero shout in the mids. Bass is bouncy with decent speed (not the snappiest), and the overall technicalities are solid for the price: small stage but not claustrophobic, decent layering, and imaging that’s more 2.5D than holographic. If you want a relaxed, non-fatiguing daily driver, the Type-C variant with mic makes a lot of sense—especially if the 3.5mm version is indeed harsher like the marketing suggests.
