About This Video

In this video I review the Punch Audio Portazo, and yeah—this is a “fun” IEM done right. Big thanks to Linsoul for sending it over, but as always, everything here is 100% my own opinion. I go through the unboxing (box is kinda generic, Kiwi Ears/T-Audio vibes), the accessories (thick case, two types of tips, modular plug with 4.4 balanced, and even spare filters), and the build. The shell feels like medical-grade resin, built really well, no driver flex on my unit, and it’s honestly cool to see a serial number on a $189 IEM. Sound-wise, the Portazo is a boosted-bass set that stays controlled, so it doesn’t turn muddy or shrill. It’s tuned almost like a single DD style, but with more sub-bass and no 10k dip, so you get deep, satisfying rumble, normal vocals/mids, and a slightly sparkly, airy treble that extends without harshness. What surprised me is the minimal planar timbre—I barely get that plasticky planar vibe. Technically, it’s strong for the price: medium stage with hyper-realistic layering, sharp separation/positioning even with the big bass, and imaging that gets holographic on my FiiO QX13 (more 2.5D straight from a phone). My nitpicks: mid-range definition feels a bit behind bass/treble definition (I’m a midrange lover), and the stock cable is annoying and tangles easily.
