About This Video

In this video I reviewed the NiceHCK Tears (Yuandao Tears), a base budget IEM that honestly punches waaaaaay above its price at around 30 USD. NiceHCK sent it over, but as always this is 100% my own opinion. I went through the unboxing (tons of tips, pouch, cable clip, cards), build (ABS plastic that doesn’t feel cheap), and comfort—this thing is super lightweight and easy to wear. Specs-wise it’s a 10mm dual-chamber dynamic driver (PE diaphragm), rated at 20 ohms and 127 dB sensitivity, so it’s very easy to drive off basically anything. Sound is the reason you should care. The bass is stampy/forward but still natural and rounded in a way that just feels “right,” and it’s not a gimmick—the acoustic maze/open-back cavity tuning actually delivers. Mids are mellow with zero shout, and the treble is airy but smooth without weird single-DD resonances. What shocked me most is the stage layering and imaging: it’s small-ish in size, but the layering is so realistic it can feel holographic for 30 bucks (seriously, try Wuthering Waves OST “Chasing Daylight”). I also compared it to the Kiwi Ears Cadenza/Bell style tuning: Tears is more mid-bass stampy, more relaxed in vocals, more natural up top, and technically better overall. My conclusion is simple: get this.
