In this video I review the Kiwi Ears Astral, and yeah… this could easily be sold at 2x the price. Linsoul sent it over, but this is still 100% my own opinion. I go through the unboxing, the accessories (including spare nozzle/filters, tips, and that modular cable with the 4.4mm module), and then I talk about the build and comfort. The shell is medical-grade resin, built clean on my unit with no molding issues, and even though it’s kinda chonky and thick, it sits so well that I can literally headbang without it falling out. For sound, I tested it stock (tips + cable) on my Poco M6 Pro with Apple Music across J-pop, EDM, rap/hip-hop, metal, and jazz. The Astral is tuned close to Harman, with a more relaxed upper-mid and a super extended ultra-high that has a tiny peak but doesn’t annoy me. The bass is rounded and addictive, the mids are mellow with zero shout and surprisingly natural timbre (BA timbre is barely there), and the treble is hyper extended—honestly, the limit is your own hearing. Technicalities at $299 are mindblowing: medium stage but hyper realistic layering, holographic imaging even off a phone, and separation/positioning so good I’d even call it FPS-gaming capable. My only nitpick is it’s so detailed my brain can get tired from all the details—ironical, but real.
