About This Video

In this video I reviewed the SIVGA SM100, a $43 single dynamic driver IEM. SIVGA sent it over, but like always, everything here is 100% my own opinion. I went through the unboxing and accessories first (tips, cable ties, jack cover, etc.), then talked build and comfort. The shells are zinc alloy, kinda hefty for how small they are, and the design weirdly reminds me of a golf club. Cable quality is fine, it has a mic, and it’s removable (stock is 3.5mm single-ended, so you can swap to balanced if you want). Sound-wise, I tested with stock tips using the FiiO QX13 + Poco M6 Pro, and I used Apple Music/YouTube Music across J-pop, EDM, rap, metal, and jazz. My overall take: it’s a balanced all-rounder with a really nice midrange. Bass is snappy with fast response (on metal it’s almost planar-fast), but on bass-heavy rap/hip-hop I did wish for more thump and weight. The midrange is the star—forward, clean, clear, and it literally gave me shivers on vocals (like “Till I” by Senarin), plus violin sounded realistic on the Violet Evergarden OST. Treble is sparkly but not super extended, and technicalities are strong for the price: medium stage, 2.5D imaging, sharp separation/positioning, and it’s even usable for competitive FPS. My main “con” is honestly the included tips being way too soft—budget for better tips.
