About This Video

In this video I review the Kefine Klean (yeah… Kefine, Kevin, K-whatever), a $49 single dynamic driver IEM that’s marketed with a DLC diaphragm. Big thanks to the brand for sending it in, but like always, I’m giving you my honest take. I go through the unboxing, accessories (case, cable, tips, tuning nozzles), and a funny shipping situation where I ended up with a double Type-C setup. Build-wise, the shells feel like cold metal (aluminum-ish), the faceplate pattern looks way better in real life than the box print, and the body is slim enough to fit most ears. Sound-wise, I tested it stock and with a cheap 4.4mm balanced cable, using my Poco M6 Pro (USB-C) and the FiiO QX13 (4.4). Tonality is Harman-inspired: balanced bass with a slight mid-bass bump, snappy transients (great for metal double pedals), warm mids on the silver nozzle, and a potentially borderline-shouty shift with the black nozzle if you’re sensitive. Treble is smooth, not super extended, but detail is solid for sub-$50. Technicalities are good: medium stage, “2.5D” imaging that gets close to holographic with a better source, and strong separation/positioning. My verdict: easy “yes” for the price—just get the 3.5mm version over the Type-C if you can.
