About This Video

In this video I’m reviewing a budget IEM that I’d actually use myself: the DUNU Titan X. Big thanks to HiFiGO for sending it over, but as always this is 100% my own opinion. I go through the unboxing (the box is minimal and small), and yeah—accessories are stacked. The shells are metal and feel heavy in hand (heavier than Aria 2), but the shape is comfortable for long sessions, even if you still “feel” you’re wearing an IEM. Mine came with the 3.5mm cable (Type‑C version wasn’t ready), and the cable quality is exactly what I expect from DUNU. For sound, my setup was Titan X with (I think) DUNU Candy tips into the FiiO QX13 + my Infinix phone, using Apple Music and YouTube Music across JP, EDM, rap, metal, and jazz. The tuning isn’t some crazy sub-bass-boost DSP vibe—it's more like a typical single-DD modified Harman with mid-bass boost (think Chu 2 / Aria 2 / Kato style), but with a slightly calmer upper mids/lower treble. Bass is weighty with satisfying punch and good texture, mids are intimate and a bit weighty with minimal metallic timbre, and treble is smooth but still detailed. Technicalities are impressive for $35–$37: stage is small but not claustrophobic, layering and imaging are decent (more 2.5D than holographic), and separation/positioning is good enough for gaming like Valorant. The only real “lag” is treble extension, which is expected from a single DD. Overall: this is basically a steal, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
