In this video I review the VseeBox V6 Plus (VC Box V6 Plus), and right away you’ll notice it’s a bit more premium than a lot of the little Android boxes I test. You’re getting an Amlogic S905Y5 (love the Amlogic… chef’s kiss), 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, Android 14, Gigabit LAN, HDMI 2.1, AV1, and Widevine Level 1. I also show the new design (that shiny purple top is kind of slick), the front display light, and a micro SD card slot on the bottom—honestly I don’t see that placement very often. The big upgrade for me is the new backlit Bluetooth remote. It uses AA batteries (so have some on hand), but it feels great in the hand and the backlight is super useful. I walk through the initial setup, Bluetooth pairing, display scaling, and how the box does auto app installation so it’s basically ready to go without you babysitting updates. Finally, I test the new feature I haven’t seen much at all: the split-screen function inside the Live Ultra Plus app. Because I’m in Canada, I had to connect to a US IP using a VPN to access it, and once it’s working, it’s genuinely useful—watch one channel and keep another up at the same time. Overall, based on VseeBox’s track record and what I’m seeing here, it’s another solid generation.
