In this video I’m reviewing the brand new Octastream Elite Max, and honestly… it feels like the return of the king. You’re getting the Allwinner H618 chip, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, Gigabit LAN, Wi‑Fi 6, HDMI 2.1, and the big upgrade for me: a new Bluetooth remote with voice control. My biggest niggle with the previous model was the line-of-sight remote, so Bluetooth on this one is basically chef’s kiss—snappy, reliable, and in 2025 it should be a must on anything you’re using for TV. I walk you through the setup from a factory reset so you can see exactly what you’ll get out of the box: pairing the remote (OK + volume down), connecting to Wi‑Fi (you’ll even see the Wi‑Fi 6 indicator), and downloading apps from the included store plus the separate “Elite Apps” section. Octastream keeps adding more—what used to be about 20 “elite” apps is now around 24, including two newer ones (Saturn and Neptune) that add thousands and thousands of channels and loads of VOD. This is basically my daily driver for Android TV boxes because the content options are ridiculous—you’ll never run out of something to watch, and if one app goes down you’ve got plenty of backups. Bottom line: it’s the most complete box I’ve ever seen, and I highly recommend it.
