About This Video

In this video I unbox the Zhiyun MOLUS X60 RGB COB light and walk you through what actually comes in the combo RGB kit. I show the carrying case, the grip battery (which can power the light up to about 50 minutes at max output), the mini reflector, the silicone diffusion dome, cables (plus a little pouch to keep them tidy), and the Bowens mount adapter setup so you can use common modifiers. I also point out the physical controls on the back (screen + two knobs), the exposed heat sink, and that cool retro-looking fan design. Then I demo how I’d use the X60 in a real YouTube talking-head setup: first with no diffusion (super harsh shadows and honestly blinding), then with the silicone diffuser (quick and totally usable), and finally with a small softbox using the Bowens mount adapter (my favorite look—soft, flattering, and still only around 19% power). For fun, I also try an umbrella and it gets surprisingly close to the softbox look with way faster setup. My biggest downsides are needing to buy the Bowens mount adapter separately and the fan getting pretty loud, which can be annoying when my mic is close. Overall though, the pros outweigh the cons—this is a compact, powerful, versatile little light with RGB, bi-color (2700K–6500K), effects, and multiple power options.
