Today, I'm sharing some photos I took with my Fujifilm X-T5 in San Luis Obispo! So far, I'm really enjoying this camera for travel photography. All images are SOOC jpgs using the Kodak Vericolor Warm recipe from FujiXWeekly: https://fujixweekly.com/2022/12/12/kodak-vericolor-warm-fujifilm-x-t5-x-trans-v-film-simulation-recipe/ Like the music I used in this video? About This Video

A few weeks ago, my friends and I took a weekend trip down to San Luis Obispo, and it was my first time bringing my Fujifilm X-T5 along for travel photography. In this video I’m sharing the SOOC JPEGs I shot around Morro Bay (walking the waterfront, checking out the boats, Morro Rock, and the smokestacks), then heading into downtown SLO where we randomly caught a concert in the plaza—watching the steel drums was such a fun moment to photograph. All of the images you see are straight out of camera using the Kodak Vericolor Warm recipe from Fuji X Weekly, and I specifically chose it because it uses Nostalgic Negative as the base (which is only on X-Trans 5 cameras like the X-T5). So far I’m really liking it: it feels like it has less contrast than Classic Negative but still gives me those reds that pop—honestly, it reads like a warmer Classic Chrome to my eye. I also talk about the lenses I brought (XF 23mm f/2 and XF 35mm f/1.4) and why I prefer Glimmerglass over Black Pro-Mist, since it keeps more contrast while still giving that nice highlight bloom. We also hiked near Cal Poly and ended the trip at the Oceano Dunes for sunset—this was the spot where I took some of my favorite photos of the whole weekend. I’ve wanted to see those dunes for years, and they genuinely did not disappoint. By the end, I was so happy with this recipe that I think it’s going to become my go-to on the X-T5, and I ask for more film recipe recommendations to try next.
