About This Video

In this video I’m sharing some photos I took with my Fujifilm X100V using the Kodak Portra 800 film simulation recipe from Fuji X Weekly (I linked the exact recipe below so you can try it too). My brother Kenny and I went downtown to grab coffee, so I brought the X100V along specifically to test this look on a real photo walk. We took a nice little walk and I ended up with images I’m genuinely really happy with. For me, the big takeaway is how well this Portra 800 recipe works on a sunny day. I love the way the colors come out, and in my opinion it has a really film-like aesthetic that’s easy to fall in love with if you’re chasing that analog vibe straight out of camera. If you’ve been looking for another X100V recipe to add to your rotation, I highly recommend trying this one out and seeing how it fits your style. Also, if you have recipe suggestions (or ideas for what I should call this ongoing recipe series), let me know—because at this point it kind of already is a series.
