About This Video

Hey guys, what’s up. In this video I’m sharing a set of photos I took in Oakland Chinatown with my Fujifilm X100V using the Kodak Gold 200 recipe from Fuji X Weekly. I walk through what the look feels like in real-world street shooting and why I keep coming back to this recipe when I’m outside in good light. I also show the recipe at the end of the video, and I’ve got the Fuji X Weekly link down below if you want to try it exactly as-is. This past weekend was my first time back in a couple years, and it’s the Chinatown my family and I used to come to growing up. I talk a bit about how it felt being back and how I noticed a stronger police presence on every street, especially after the anti-Asian hate crimes over the past few years—it was honestly nice to see the resilience of the community firsthand. For the photos themselves, the Gold 200 recipe gives really nice warm tones, and in my opinion it’s the perfect sunny day recipe. I also mention that it tends to look the most pleasing outdoors because it uses a set white balance rather than auto white balance.
