About This Video

Hey guys—today I’m sharing some nighttime photos I took on my Fujifilm X100V using the Cinestill 800T film simulation recipe from Fuji X Weekly. Aaron and I went back to downtown Walnut Creek to walk around and shoot, and this was actually my first time going out with the intention to shoot night photos with this camera. I’m genuinely really happy with how the images came out, especially with all the streetlights and the little pockets of glow around town. I also hadn’t been to downtown Walnut Creek at night since I was in high school, so it was honestly really cool seeing how much it’s changed—there are streamlights everywhere now and they add such a nice ambiance to scenes. And yes, as always, I had my trusty Tiffen Black Pro-Mist on the lens because I just love those blooming highlights—what can I say. Shout out to the person who suggested I try Cinestill 800T this week, because it ended up being a really fun recipe. If you want me to try a specific recipe next, leave it in the comments—I’d love to hear your suggestions.
