About This Video

In this video I’m talking about my favorite camera: the Fujifilm X100V—after owning and shooting with it for over a year. I share a bunch of my favorite photos from the past year (a mix of straight-out-of-camera JPEGs and Lightroom edits), and I give some context on why I even bought it in the first place. I wanted something that made me excited to shoot again, and I specifically wanted to downsize from my Sony A7S III setup because it felt big, not discreet, and honestly drew attention I didn’t want while shooting in the city. After a year, the things I love most are the size, the 26MP image quality, and the fixed lens (I never have to think about which lens to bring—and it saves me from buying lenses I don’t need but always want). I also love Fujifilm film simulations and recipes because they let me ditch a lot of editing and just enjoy shooting again. I also cover a few things to be aware of: autofocus can feel a little slow in low light, Clarity slows down the shooting process, and the current used prices are honestly wild. I share how I found mine secondhand and why I’d recommend checking local camera stores—or just waiting for the next X100 camera instead of overpaying.
