About This Video

In this cozy February reading vlog, I picked up two books from my TBR that I genuinely thought could be five-star reads—and I tested my own predictions in real time. First, I finished The Winners by Fredrik Backman (the final Beartown book), and my experience was honestly a roller coaster. I was weirdly on the edge of my seat even when ā€œnothingā€ was happening, and the foreshadowing had my anxiety at an 11 out of 10. But by the time I finished, it ended up feeling overwhelming yet underwhelming—too many perspectives, too many side quests, and an ending that felt oddly abrupt for such a long book. Then I dove into Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid (the one you guys chose for February), and I fully binged it. It starts off chaotic and confusing with lots of names and astronaut terminology, but once I trusted the process, it completely clicked—and I got so attached to Joan and the found-family dynamics. The slow-burn romance is genuinely heartwarming, the misogyny conversation has layers, and the emotional build-up made the ending hard to face (even though I was bracing myself). I’m calling it a five-star… or at the very least a 4.75.
