Happy new year, you guys—this is my first video of 2026, and I’m doing the most efficient (and honestly the only realistic) version of a 2025 reading wrap-up: tier ranking every single book I read. My goal was 100 books, and even though 2025 was a weird mental headspace year where concentrating was genuinely hard, I still hit 100 by leaning on novellas and graphic novels in December. I also break down my stats—26 romances, 14 fantasy, 10 memoirs, 10 graphic novels, and more—and talk about how romance started feeling a little cookie-cutter for me after so many, which is why I’m craving more realistic and historical fiction going forward. I rank everything from “what was this about?” (not bad, I literally just don’t remember) up to “perfect to me.” I also share the two books I DNF’d and why. Along the way, I gush about favorites like Beartown, Sunrise on the Reaping, and One Golden Summer, and I’m brutally honest about disappointments (yes, Onyx Storm is in my “why…” tier).
