Hello you guys—welcome to a regular old schmegular weekend vlog, but with a twist: I spent the whole weekend without social media. I used my Brick (I’ve had it since last November and I’m obsessed) to lock myself out of all my social apps besides YouTube, because I genuinely watch YouTube like TV and it doesn’t feel bad for my mental health the way scrolling does. My goal was to have a cozy winter weekend, focus on hobbies, and just feel a little more present—and I stayed bricked the entire time (55+ hours, which felt so good to see). Reading-wise, I got super into Caught Up by Liz Tomforde (Windy City #3) and you guys… I loved it. Kai is such a good dad, the found family with Miller + Kai + Max was so wholesome, and it might honestly be a 5-star for me (at least a 4.5). I also started One for My Enemy by Olivie Blake on audio (picked from my friends’ TBR rotation for our 75 books journey), and I was shocked by how strong the fantasy audiobook start was. In between reading, Luke and I did a cozy library trip, I shared a few apartment updates (pillow covers seriously make a space feel so much more cohesive), and I finally finished a paint-by-numbers I started forever ago—highly recommend as an “off your phone” hobby with an audiobook on.
