About This Video

In today’s Bookmas day 8 video, I’m sharing my 2026 TBR—aka the books I NEED to read next year. I’m doing things a little differently this time: instead of doing ā€œ26 books for 2026,ā€ I narrowed it down to 15 because I want this list to actually feel manageable (and not like I’m assigning myself more than a fourth of my yearly reading). Most of these are books I already own (10 out of 15), and I also kept new releases off the list on purpose—these are the backlist books I’ve been meaning to prioritize for forever. I tried to pick a real mix of genres and vibes—books I can read seasonally and books that work anytime. There’s historical fiction I’m convinced will emotionally destroy me in the best way (hello, Kristin Hannah), fantasy standalones like a magical-library story I bought immediately, and a few ā€œI can’t believe I haven’t read this yetā€ moments (yes, Percy Jackson). I also talk through a couple witchy cozy mysteries for spring, a romance I’m excited about because I love the trope, and my delusional-but-effective plan to gaslight myself into finishing Crescent City by putting book three on the list. Basically: cozy, a little chaotic, and very me.
