I’ve been in Tokyo for a week now and it finally feels like I’ve settled in. Jetlag is gone, I ran the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon, met some great people and started getting into a routine. In this video, I’m taking you with me for a day around Daikanyama and Ginza – two of Tokyo's neighbourhoods. Strolling around, a bit of shopping, an unexpected tourist trap that turned out great, and probably the best sushi I’ve had so far. Simply a calm day in Tokyo and a glimpse of what life here feels like right now :) . *LINKS & DISCOUNTS* Organic Basics https://organicbasics.pxf.io/POBNDz Code: KATHARINA10 RUNNA https://web.runna.com/redeem?code=KATHARINA Code: KATHARINA (2-week free trial) Electrolytes and vitamins: https://www.supplme.com code: KATHARINA15 Sqaurespace: https://squarespace.com/katharina code: KATHARINA10 *VIDEO INFO* Filmed with DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and Iphone 17 Pro Edited in Final Cut Pro X Music: Epidemic Sound – https://share.epidemicsound.com/n23faf *LET'S CONNECT* Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/katharinaschneiderr/ Strava – https://www.strava.com/athletes/67275176 All business inquiries at contactkschneider@gmail.com Chapters 0:00 Intro 0:23 After a week living in Tokyo 1:44 Daikanyama stroll 3:20 Ginza 4:07 a good tourist trap’ 5:35 shops and the best sushi lunch 7:05 I need your opinion 9:09 relaxing evening Tags Japan travel, tokyo life, study abroad in Japan, travel to Japan, Daikanyama Tokyo, Tokyo, Tokyo food, Muji Japan, Ginza Tokyo, Tokyo neighbourhoods, what to do in Tokyo, Japan solo travel, how to spend a day in Tokyo, study online abroad

About This Video

A lot has happened since we last spoke: it’s my first full week living in Tokyo and I finally feel settled. The jet lag is gone, uni has officially started (and I finished my work early), and I even ran the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon. So in this vlog I’m taking you with me on a calm, fun day where I just get to enjoy the city—because right now it genuinely feels like a little vacation in between study blocks. We start in Daikanyama, which is this super cool, niche-chic area just a short walk from Shibuya. I went back for sneakers I’d been eyeing and did a bit of strolling (and yes, I also ended up doing more shopping than planned—oops). Then I head to Ginza for a more corporate, expensive-store vibe, try a place I genuinely thought might be the greatest tourist trap (Cloud Club), and surprise: the hojicha was actually really good… just a bit too sweet for my liking. I also browse On in Ginza to find winter running clothes, because colder runs are coming. At the end of the day, I check in with you about what you want to see next—like a full day of studying online in Tokyo, and a more minimal, raw “quiet time alone” style video. And because marathon training life is real life, I’m also dealing with a huge blister from the half marathon and giving my feet a much-needed rest.
