About This Video

Today was a big day: July 28th, the day you find out if you got accepted into uni in Denmark. I started the morning with a matcha (yes, the cheap tourist-shop one from Japan that I reviewed on Instagram—still an absolute bargain), and then I tried to keep myself busy with errands while waiting to check my result. I also went to the doctor to finally get my foot checked, because this injury has dragged on for about two months and not running has honestly been the toughest part mentally. Later, I shared the news: I got accepted—again, second attempt—and I’m going to study a 2-year degree in marketing management online. The online part is everything for me, because it means I can keep building my work with social media and still make Japan happen (including the Tokyo Half Marathon in October). It’s super flexible in terms of time and location, but it’ll take discipline because no one is “looking after me”—and I genuinely have zero doubts I can do it. On the running side, I also showed our new shoes (Adidas Evo SL), and I’m so excited to ease back into running very slowly in a couple of days with the doctor’s green light. It feels like my life is coming back, and I can finally breathe knowing the plan I made is actually going to happen.
