About This Video

In this episode, I talk about why I bought a second copy of LEGO Modular Buildings Collection: Tudor Corner for my LEGO City. Shopping Street wasn’t out yet when I recorded this, so Tudor Corner was still the current modular—and it’s honestly one of my favorites, if not my favorite modular. I originally grabbed it early in the year to get the gift with purchase, and I even built a mirrored version (which is a whole different experience). As I’ve been setting up my new city layout, I realized I’ve got more space than I have buildings to fill it, so doubling up on a modular started to make a lot of sense. I found a second Tudor Corner on a Best Buy flash sale (about $40–$50 off, around $180) and built it as the standard model. The big reason I wanted two is that Tudor Corner has a really unique architecture that doesn’t always “blend” with other modulars—so pairing two together can make it feel more intentional in a streetscape. I show two layout options: stairs facing each other to create a little alleyway, or the two blue haberdasheries side-by-side. I also mention my one nitpick: the two clocks end up right next to each other, so I may tweak that later. Then I ask you to weigh in—what looks better in a city, and do you like Tudor Corner enough to double it up?
