About This Video

In this week’s Bricking News episode, Alex and I do what we do best: bounce from LEGO rumors and new releases to whatever random nostalgia our brains decide to serve up first. We talk about the new LEGO Art Monet set (big box, big price—honestly not my favorite), and then get into the Tintin Rocket Ship set that somehow flew under my radar. I’m not even a Tintin guy, but as a classic rocket build with a legit minifig lineup (and some interesting dome pieces), I’ve got to give it a “bravo.” We also hit a bunch of quick-fire topics: the Up characters (Kevin and Doug) as buildables, the Peanuts/Snoopy set, the Blue Spaceman being on backorder, and the never-ending Star Wars machine—plus my usual rant about how the Razor Crest sets age weird when the ship literally blows up. Then we roll into our “worst LEGO set of the year” scoreboard, recap last week’s Zurg vs. Humungousaur vote (the Pizza Planet alien absolutely mattered), and pick a new matchup: the 2012 buildable Hulk vs. Hero Factory XT4. We finish with a melon cream soda taste test (foamy, kinda soapy aftertaste—solid C) and some community commentary, including the all-important confirmation that “irregardless” is, in fact, a word.
