I recently made a lego build as a gift for my boss and today I share it with you. I am fortunate to have a boss I enjoy working for and I got inspired to create this gift. It is a series of three habitats of her doing things that are important in her life; Mountain Biking, Boxing, and work. About This Video

Welcome back to another episode of Jason’s Bricks in 5—LEGO content in around five minutes. In this video I share a simple little MOC I built as a gift for my boss (and yeah, I’m fortunate—I genuinely enjoy working for her, and she actually likes LEGO). I built a stack of three 8x8 “habitats” or vignettes: that classic format where you’re working on an 8x8 plate and keeping it about eight bricks high, so you can stack them into a cool little tower display. Each vignette captures something important in her life. Up top I tried to recreate her work-from-home desk setup from what I’ve seen on Zoom calls—computer, a piano behind her, and even a couple LEGO sets on the piano (I did my best to nod to the botanicals and a Ford Raptor). I also had to include her orange cat because, of course, he likes to jump on the desk and into the camera. The second scene is mountain biking, with a little mountain, pine tree, flowers, and a squirrel—plus I had her coming off the edge a bit because you run out of space fast on 8x8 builds. And the last one is a boxing gym scene, complete with her knocking someone out—just a fun little build that makes a neat gift without taking up much space, even if it’s more challenging than you’d think.
