Welcome back to another weekly BrickLink store update—this one is Week 16, and yeah… hard to believe I’m basically four months into this little side gig. I’m still building inventory, still figuring out what the “plan” even is, but overall it was a solid week. I parted out a Creator 3-in-1 Sea Animals set I grabbed at a Walmart in a small town in Utah for nine bucks (normally a $30 set), got all those parts listed, and yes—premium strawberries made their cameo appearance for absolutely no reason other than to make you guys happy. On the sales side, I had seven sales across New Jersey (two), Florida, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia. It felt like things shifted back toward parts again—98 parts across 67 lots—with a couple bigger multi-hundred-part orders, after a stretch where I’d been moving more minifigs and sets. Inventory jumped from 102,029 items to 112,254, helped by part-outs and adding bulk 1x1 tiles and similar stuff. I also tried making picking easier by bagging counted lots (like 1x1 tiles in bags of 100) and setting up tier pricing instead of forcing minimum quantities. Next up, I’m seriously considering a counting scale to speed up bulk counting, and I tested a new sourcing idea by joining my LUG draft (Duel on Peridia) to pick up parts and figs—now I just need to get them listed and see if it’s actually worth doing long-term.
