About This Video

This week’s Bricklink Store Diary was a busy one, even with me still fighting off that lingering winter bug. I kept the store open and it paid off: nine orders, 184 lots, and 2,226 items sold. I also talk through where the orders came from (California is still leading the pack), and why it’s been encouraging to see consistent sales—one of my early fears was cracking open sets, parting them out, and then having nobody buy the parts. I also share what I added to inventory to keep the store growing. I finally parted out five Tournament Battle Arena sets I grabbed at about 40% off, plus my wife found some useful Pick-a-Brick wall parts like 1x4 tan masonry bricks and plates. That brings the store up to 121,864 items across 3,764 lots, and yes—my shelves are officially getting full. Finally, I answer the question people keep asking: do I actually get any money out of the Bricklink store? My approach is simple—I reinvest most of the sales back into inventory so the store can grow, but I also pull 10% of monthly sales into an investment account (and I do the same with 10% of my YouTube income) so I can see a real, tangible benefit from all those part-out hours.
