About This Video

This week on Bricking News (end-of-the-year edition), I’m basically living in BrickLink inventory mode—specifically, wading through a client’s used Star Wars sets and trying to get them disassembled, checked, and ready to sell. Some of it’s been “easy peasy lemon squeezy” (sealed sets with beat-up boxes that I can just price, get paid, and ship), but the used stuff is where everything starts to stink. I’m talking missing minifigs, missing capes, random substitute parts, and the kind of time-sink builds where you spend hours hunting pieces just to realize the set’s resale value is… pathetic. The biggest takeaway: “percentage complete” listings drive me nuts. If something’s missing, you need to say exactly what’s missing—are we talking a 1x1 plate, or the expensive figure? I also rant a bit about how weird it is to find LEGO pieces that look chemically melted or ground down (plus the usual: Tao and Mega Bloks go straight to the garbage). And yes, we get into the absurdity of minifig variants—like how a tiny print detail can be a $1,400 difference—so I’m triple-checking figs before anything ships. If you want to browse what I’ve been cranking through, my BrickLink store is Brick Source (BRIKSOURCE), and I’ve got a bunch of used/incomplete Star Wars sets going up as I clear this tunnel.
